.MY Domain Name Life Cycle

MYNIC has announced a revision to .MY domain name policy towards the .MY domain name lifecycle.

The .MY domain billing cycle applies to all .MY domain names, including premium domains. The registration process operates on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing you to register domain names for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 10 years. Be sure to review the specific requirements for each extension.

You can check .MY domain name availability via Exabytes website. Standard prices apply to regular domain names. Exabytes reserves the right to refund or request a top-up for premium domains.

Registered Period
During the registration period, your domain remains active, enabling you to update contact information, change registrants, transfer registrars, and modify name servers.

To maintain domain activity, renew it before the expiration date. This ensures your website remains accessible and your email services continue without interruption. Domains can be renewed for 1 to 10 years, depending on the remaining eligibility period. For renewal assistance, contact us at [email protected].

Auto-Renew Period
After a domain name expires, it will enter an Auto-Renew Grace Period for 40 days. During this period, you can renew the domain name at the standard price.

Redemption Period
If no payment is received during the Auto-Renew Grace Period, the domain will enter a 30-day Redemption period. During this time, you can redeem and renew the domain at nearly double the normal price. (Renewal Fee + Redemption Fee)

Pending Delete Period
After the Redemption Period ended, your domain will enter a 5-day Pending Delete period before being released to the public.

Renewal and Billing
Exabytes issues invoices 45 days before your domain's expiration date, followed by several payment reminders to ensure timely renewal. Early renewal is advised to secure your domain and avoid service disruption.
