How to adjust spam assassin score in cPanel

This tutorial demonstrate on how to adjust spam assassin score.


1. Login to cPanel

2. Search Spam Filters after login to the cPanel account and click on Spam Filters 



3. Next click on Spam Threshold Score as per below screenshot to manage the spam score


4. From this page you can Adjust Spam assassin threshold score




Default (5) Current - Spam Assassin’s default spam threshold score is 5, so any message scoring a 5 or higher will be sent to the Spam folder.


Noted: 

A spam score for a message that meets or exceeds the Spam Threshold Score setting, the system marks the message as spam. A lower spam threshold score, such as a one, is aggressive and labels many messages as spam, including messages that may not be spam. However, a higher value, such as a ten, is passive and only labels messages that are obviously spam.


5. Once you have made your decision, click the blue Update Scoring Options button to complete the process and save your changes and then click on Return to overview.
